Actively helping and supporting community within Crystal Downs and throughout Benzie County is a huge part of our culture. Our members and employees are heavily involved in organizations like Rotary, BACN, Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital, the Oliver Arts Center, Frankfort and Benzie schools as well as other nonprofits because we love this community and want to enhance the quality of life for all who live, work and/or play here. We also support our sense of community and create memories within CDCC through a mix of traditions and new events for members and employees alike.

Once you are part of the Crystal Downs family and community, staff members are often a part of it for many years to come. Many of our employees work at CDCC for several years and some their entire career, some launch their careers through members and members’ connections, and some end up becoming Crystal Downs members. Through new members, and members five generations deep, by instituting sustainable business and environmental practices, and by investing in our employees’ and our northern Michigan community’s future, we seek to make a positive difference, forever.

What is Crystal Downs Country Club?
Crystal Downs Country Club is a private club in Frankfort, Michigan, open since 1927, with a rich history. Our golf course is currently ranked #1 in Michigan by Golf Digest and is considered one of the top classic golf courses in the world. The Club features two dining facilities that offer fine and casual dining to our members and their guests. An exceptional tennis program and many summer social events complete our offerings to members.
Crystal Downs operates seasonally, from May through October, and often has openings for staff in both part-time & full-time roles. Hours and shifts vary based on the position.

Current Job Openings
Below is a list of our current job openings. Our staff includes 22 year-round employees and approximately 50 seasonal employees for our Golf, Green, Clubhouse, Tennis, and Administration teams. The following six positions work Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Each provides excellent customer service to members and their guests, as well as, the duties indicated.
Host/Hostess: Greets guests in a professional manner; seats them. Works as a team with front of house and back of house staff. Must be 16 years old.
Assistant Server: Assists servers in food running and dish clearing. Work as a team with front of the house and back of the house staff. Must be 16 years old.
Valet: Greets members and guests upon arrival. Safely parks and retrieves cars for guest. Assist with other duties as well such as busing tables during down time, taking trash to dumpster etc. Works as a team with front of house and back of house staff. Must be 18 years old.
Dishwasher: Cleans and puts away dishes, assists with kitchen prep, helps maintain cleanliness of the kitchen. Must be 16 years old.
Grill Staff: Works from 8:00am to 3:00pm Sunday thru Saturday. Enters food orders into POS. Handles cash and credit card payments for orders. Stocks and maintains inventory. Assists with cooking menu items. Helps maintain the cleanliness of the dining room. Washes dishes. Must be 16 years old.
Grill Supervisor: Works from 8:00am to 3:00pm Sunday thru Saturday. Is responsible for running the Golf Shop grill. Responsible for supervising grill staff and cooking menu items. Must be 18 years old.
