Visiting the Downs

Crystal Downs is a members-only Club. If you plan to visit Crystal Downs with a member of the Club, we want you to have the information you need to enjoy the culture of this special place.

Crystal Downs is a private Country Club with a rich tradition. It is essentially an informal place, without undue rules or restrictions, other than those of good common courtesy. In order to maintain this as a special place to share with family and friends, there are expectations for dress and conduct.

  • Attire for Clubhouse Dining
    • We honor the traditions of our history while recognizing the trends of the present. In order to make dining at the Club a special experience, attire should be commensurate with the Club’s excellent food, wine and view, while being relaxed enough that members will want to dine with us frequently.

      Upper Dining Room
Gentlemen, 15 years or older, should be in jackets, long pants and tucked, collared shirts whenever dining in the Upper Dining Room. Dresses and nice slacks are appropriate for ladies. Children should be dressed accordingly.
The Clubhouse Manager may exercise discretion, particularly for inclement or warm weather, regarding the jacket requirement for men.

Lower Level Dining Room, Sunset Room, East Lawn and Patio
Members and their guests should wear traditional tailored golf attire or other tasteful casual wear. Gentlemen’s shirts should have collars; shirts designed to be untucked may be untucked.

      Prohibited Throughout
Blue jean pants and torn, frayed or ripped clothing are not allowed in any of our dining spaces.
In the event a member, or their guest, is in violation of the dress code, they will either be re-seated in a more appropriate dining area or they will be asked to return home, dress according to code and return.
